European Cyber Security Month (1-31 October 2017)

October 11th 2017
Given the changing threat and the need to reassure citizens shaken by recent cyberattacks (such as WannaCry and NotPetya), French and European actors are working to coordinate their efforts to enhance collective responsibility.

Back in October 2015, the French National Digital Security Strategy recalled that only a comprehensive and coordinated consideration of the challenges related to digital security could foster the development of a prosperous and confident digital society. Given that this effort must be European in nature, France is working in the international arena to call for a secure, stable and open cyber space.

European Cyber Security Month is an excellent illustration of this shared ambition: ministries, associations, professional organizations and other key actors are set to launch initiatives through awareness-raising activities across Europe, including conferences, round tables, interactive events, learning resources and social media.

Organized at the initiative of the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA), European Cyber Security Month is an event coordinated in France by the French Network and Information Security Agency (ANSSI in French).
